Large presses have large columns where the loads must be distributed evenly. Due to the colossal size of these presses conventional bolting methods simply wont work.
Hydraulic tensioning overcomes all of these difficulties with ease. The tensioners give highly accurate loadswhilst being able to apply these loads quickly, and evenly.
The above picture is of 2 M460 x 10 A3 manual return EziJacs use for a large forging press. The tools were custom design for an Italian press manufacturer. They measure Ø1000mm x 731 high and weighing 1253kg each. Each tool produce a load of 17444kN at 700 bar of pressure and has a stroke of 20mm.
